Good day, ladies!
As promised, the series of daytime looks continues today with another 2 suggestions on how to use colourful makeup in your everyday life.
I will not blab too much and just get down to business.
Look #1 is called Purple Girl and looks like this:
Light purple is a very nice colour to wear during the day because it looks flattering on pretty much everyone and doesn’t look overbearing or dramatic.
Here, I combined a light matte pink e/s with a neutral purple in the crease, and a dark purple pencil to line the eye. Lining the lower lash line is optional, but I somehow always prefer to do it…it makes the look more complete… at least on me.
What I used:
- Essence I love stage e/s base
- Nivea e/s Vintage Rose (just a pink matte e/s)
- MUG e/s Unexpected (a neutral, sort of cool-toned purple…if you don’t have one, just use a mid-tone brown to darken the crease and give your eyes a bit of depth)
- MUG e/s Shimma Shimma (inner corner, for a pop of light which opens up the eyes; you can use any shimmery white or champagne e/s)
- Essence longlasting eye pencil #16 Coolest chic (on top I put a bit of dark purple e/s, just to set the pencil and make it last longer)
- mascara (pick your fav!)
For look #2, I picked green. Don’t be afraid of this colour! Just take a nice apple-y or mint-y colour, and you will love wearing green every day!
The trick with wearing brighter colours during the day is to tone them down by pairing them with a neutral! This is among the many lessons I have learned from my beloved Marlena (CEO of MakeupGeek)…and if you think about it, it makes so much sense!
So what I did here is just apply generously a light apple green e/s on the moving lid and then combine with a mid-tone brown (the neutral) in the crease. Again, the darker green on lower lash line you can totally skip….or you can wing a black, dark green, or dark brown eyeliner…I leave it up you you.
By the way, instead of green, you can always opt for purple, or blue..depending on the rest of your outfit for the day.
The products I used are:
- Essence I love stage e/s base
- MUG e/s Appletini
- MUG e/s Frappe
- MUG e/s Envy ( to line the lower lashes, but you can omit this step)
- mascara
So, those were my Tuesday suggestions…the challenge continues…for it is a challenge to come up with these looks, now that all I can think of is more dramatic makeup hahaha.
I hope you had fun and your hands already itch to take out your colourful e/s and put it on tomorrow before work. I would be so happy, if you did!
