    • Thank you! Starting to make videos really took me a while to get around to and it’s kind of scary once you click that “upload” button. I have always found writing to be my stronger side, but the ball is rolling now…let’s see where it goes πŸ™‚

Susan is my fairy godmother, she totally reads my mind and makes my wishes come true haha! There is something about DG eyeshadows that makes them more special than anything else I have in my makeup stash ❀

  1. I’m not one to sit and watch YT videos, but I really enjoyed this one. Laughed when you said you imagined Susan as a fairy with wings and a wand. But it’s true! I like her posts where she puts in the container the various pigments, and you see blue and red and yellow, and once mixed, you end up with a completely unexpected colour! Out of your list, I only have Seven Days Later. When I placed my last order, I binged on her duochromes, like you said, she makes amazing ones πŸ™‚

    • Thank you so much! It’s good to hear people are enjoying my ramblings πŸ˜€

I know right! That’s probably the reason why I associate Susan with fairies…that and the whole image of DG.

      Her duochromes are mind-blowing!

Btw, since you have been in the indie brand world for a while, may I ask if you have experience with Shiro Cosmetics. I’ve seen Fyrinnae worshippers mention it, and was wondering about it.

      • I placed one order with Shiro when it was started and the Pokemon collection came out. As a lover of Pokemons, I couldn’t miss out. I have no quibbles with the eyeshadows whatsover, and really loved Meowth and Jigglypuff (which I still have somewhere, but I think they’re at my mum’s). I never ordered again because there was some drama around a group that the owner of Shiro was part of, and – mostly – because I was still new to the indie world then and was more in love with Fyrinnae, Darling Girl and Hi-Fi Cosmetics (and another couple of brands that I would not mention because they’re another story) and I couldn’t afford the money or the space (I had a small bathroom lol) ordering from too many brands so I decided to order from those companies instead. I’ve never tried the lippies but heard some good stuff about them. Personally it’s not a company I would tell you to keep away from. I just happened to order from it only once, that’s all. I know some of the girls in my FB group do use Shiro, and there aren’t any complaints about the ingredients used or the quality of the makeup there either. Those who stay away from Shiro seem to do so because of that bit of drama, not because of the products. I have no idea how their range of eyeshadows has developped now, I’m a bit out-of-touch lol!

BTW – I loved your funny faces too!

      • Thank you for the detailed info. I will keep an eye on Shiro, but not planning to order for now. Just ordered a few things from Notoriously Morbid…and waiting for a few new goodies from DG, so Shiro will have to wait. Ah the sweet drama…I read about the Lime Crime drama, and it did put me off a bit. I try not to let it influence me, but it kind of did. Plus, I do find their products ridiculously expensive.

Haha plenty of funny faces and awkward moments in my video attempts πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›
