Autumn leaves makeup look with MUG pigments

Hello again!

And now finally I get to show some makeup 🙂 Naturally, it had to feature some of my new MUG pigments.

I created a look inspired by Marlena from Makeup Geek, since I saw something similar she made a while ago. I hope you don’t really mind that it is once again, autumn-inspired 😉

The look has green, gold, orange, red and brown:

And then I felt as if a pair of falsies were missing, so:

It was sort of a challenge for me to fit all these colours on the lid, but this is exactly how I imagined the look in my head.

What I used:

  • Essence I love stage e/s base
  • Sleek eye dust Green with Envy
  • MUG pigment Liquid Gold
  • MUG pigment Blitz
  • Barry M dazzle dust Burnt Orange
  • MUG e/s Razzleberry
  • MUG e/s Bada Bing
  • MUG e/s Cosmopolitan
  • MUG e/s Chickadee
  • MUG e/s Beaches and Cream
  • MUG e/s Corrupt
  • Max Factor black kohl pencil
  • Max Factor Wild Mega Volume volumising mascara
  • Eye Candy false lashes #007

How do you like this look? And just fyi, I did go out today wearing a look like this one ;)…would you?

Easy daytime makeup looks, with colour!!! Chapter 4

The next look in this series is daytime appropriate (to me at least) but how easy you find it depends on your skills to wing a liner. Mine would probably classify as average, I have a long way to go…

Anyhow, the idea I had is that you can keep the lid really neutral, just beige on the lid and  a neutral in the crease, but go eccentric with the liner. I love emerald and blue, so I did that. But you can feel free to do it with whatever colours make you happy (pink with purple, orange or yellow or gold with brown, black with green..etc) as long as you use 2 colours. Simply because 1 is boring, and you were probably doing that anyway.

The general idea is this:

From here onwards you can experiment with colours, shapes of the wing, length of the wing…knock yourself out!

You do not need a bunch of liquid or gel liners in different colours either…you can use your e/s, or foil pigments…I foiled my Barry M dazzle dust Emerald. The electric blue is indeed a gel liner, the MUG gel liner Electric, but you can probably achieve a similar effect with another pigment, or an e/s. In fact, an e/s will actually give you a much softer, subtler result.

I used the MUG e/s Moondust through the crease (it’s a neutral brown-silver e/s with a satin finish, very interesting colour) and MUG e/s Beaches and Cream on the lid.

You can also skip filling in the waterline, but that’s a personal preference.

Now get you goodies, and wing that liner 🙂

Till next time!

Barry M dazzle dust “Burnt Orange” look

More orange!

Burnt orange to be more specific 😉

Now this pigment from Barry M I have used before, dry. It is absolutely gorgeous, and I always look forward to using it again. It has a darkish orange shade, I guess that’s the reason they called it Burnt Orange, and it has small chunks of glitter…which makes it a tiny bit more difficult to work with when it’s dry. I was really curious to try it wet and today I finally did :)!

I have to say pigments reach a whole new level of awesome when used wet..not because they are less beautiful dry, but because it feels like you get a 2 in 1 deal. Foil them, and it would seem like a whole new product!

To make the look even more dramatic, I pulled out another bright colour from the box: the Electric gel liner from MUG. Bright electric blue. With orange. Fantastic, right?!

I am not sure you noticed but the mascaras (yes plural ;)) are also colourful…upper lashes – brown; lower lashes – blue. So, this is not your regular everyday look but it was really fun to do it!

What I used:

  • Essence I love stage e/s base
  • Barry M dazzle dust Burnt Orange (foiled)
  • GOSH powder effect Glamour (foiled)
  • MUG e/s Bada Bing
  • MUG e/s Cocoa Bear
  • MUG e/s Beaches and Cream
  • MUG gel liner Electric
  • Essence long-lasting eye pencil #02 Hot Chocolate (for tight-lining of the upper lashes waterline)
  • Max Factor False Lash effect mascara 24 hours Black Brown
  • Oriflame Fat Lash funky mascara Blue

What do you think of this crazy look? I hope you like it 🙂

Have a lovely weekend!
