In the mood for Pink…

Some days I am in the mood for gold, other days are painted blue…not to mention all the Green!!! But today, I was in the mood for PINK 🙂

I used the MUG e/s Simply Marlena (named after Marlena from Makeup Geek) as a base for the MAC pigment Fuchsia and combined it with blue…in the end I attached also a few single false lashes, just for extra glamour!

Essence Sparkling Purple and Gold Rush crystal eyeliners

I was torn when it came to the new glitter eyeliners from Essence. One I did like, and one I just couldn’t. Flashy Aqua, the teal-blue liner, spoke to me. It is fun, colourful and glittery in sort of a subtle, not bam in-your-face way. On the other hand Black Star simply didn’t get my motor running. It didn’t sparkle enough…instead it kind of looks like black dots on my skin…not so flattering really!

I am a scientist, however. I used to do experiments in the lab, where a result like this  would mean absolutely nothing (in all honesty, that is true for most scientific experiments, especially in molecular biology; I happen to have enough experience to claim this with certainty ;)). Anyhow, the Essence glitter liner experiment required at least a triplo. To make it even more convincing, I added a fourth sample.

And I can gladly say, that with 3 successful tries out of 4, the result is clear: I LIKE!!!

The Essence Sparkling Purple crystal eyeliner is a pretty, I’d say lilac glitter liner, which adds a very nice pop to your look. I really love the combination of green with lilac, so I came up with this:

You already saw a little preview of the Essence crystal eyeliner Gold Rush in the very inner corner of the eye in the previous look. It is a bit lighter than a true gold colour, but still very pretty. It brightens you up immediately! So, I used it to create “Azalea with a Gold Twist”:
