Liner experiments

Hi ladies,

a quick Saturday morning post on another experimental makeup look, this time with liner.

Actually, I am just coming up with ways/reasons to use the MUG pigment Enchanted for I cannot get enough of it. I did not see this passionate love between us happening when I ordered it…expected to like it, but instead I am head over heals in love with it. When a product exceeds your expectations, that’s always such a fulfilling feeling…and this baby is worth every cent (not that it’s expensive to begin with, for $6,99 you are almost getting it as a present ;))

This time, I used it wet (just foiled with water) as a thick liner…and then drew a bit more around it:

How do you like it? I know it’s crazy, you can’t just wear it outside…I promise next post will be a wearable look!

Sorry for the blurry photos, the weather yesterday was really sad and depressing, and my camera refused to cooperate, I think it just wanted to cuddle up under a blanket and drink tea 😛

What I used:

  • Essence I love stage e/s base
  • MUG pigment Enchanted
  • MUG e/s Prom Night
  • MUG e/s Shimma Shimma
  • MUG e/s Frappe
  • MUG e/s Beaches and Cream
  • Sleep eye dust Vintage
  • Max Factor black kohl pencil
  • Max Factor Wild Mega Volume volumising mascara

I bid you a splendid Saturday!

See you later!

Still Enchanted: a dramatic look with MUG pigment Enchanted

Hello!

I would like to dedicate another post to the MUG pigment Enchanted because I am still absolutely Enchanted by it :). Hmm, I forgot to show you picture of it last time. Let me correct this mistake immediately.

Pretty isn’t she? 🙂

Last time I showed you a very simple look with this pigment, so this time I am going to crank it up a notch…it is going to be real DRAMA!

Why?!

Because I added some beautiful false lashes…

But let’s start from the beginning…

I was busy creating a look with Enchanted and the Essence pigment Be My Brightsmaid (I didn’t misspell it, that is indeed how the lovely people from Essence called it ;)) It was going pretty well, turning a bit more to the dramatic side, but still not too over the top. Right?

Then I looked in the mirror, and a feeling of incompleteness overwhelmed me…Something was missing! What was bothering me?!?!?…Well, my lashes were sort of clumped together and were ruining the whole idea :S. Everyone experiences those good and bad lashes days..the ones when you either love the way mascara turned out, or you simply want to cut your lashes and throw the mascara in the bin asap. Mine were obviously having a bad day…

Luckily, I had a pair of really pretty falsies that were just perfect for this look. And here you can see how adding false lashes makes all the difference in the world:

Thank you falsies!!! You saved the day 🙂

What I used for this dramatic look:

  • Essence I love stage e/s base
  • NYX JEP Milk
  • MUG pigment Enchanted
  • Essence pigment #09 Be My Brightsmaid
  • MAC pigment Reflects Pearl
  • MUG e/s Corrupt
  • MUG e/s Glamorous
  • Nivea e/s #13 Vintage Rose
  • Catrice Glamour Doll volume mascara
  • Eye Candy false lashes 007

What do you think about this look? Did you already fall in love with Enchanted?

MUG pigment Enchanted

Hellooo!

This is a very quick post with a very simple look meant to show you the MUG pigment Enchanted. It took me a while to decide which MUG pigment I’d like to try out first because they are all so pretty. I chose Enchanted – a red-violet, plummy shimmery pigment – for I feel like it has remained a bit under the radar, undeservedly.

I wore it yesterday on e/s primer and it applied really well, and lasted a good 7-8 hours (which on my lids is pretty remarkable!).

For the photo today, I actually used smudged black pencil as base because I was curious whether the application and the colour would differ. Indeed, the pencil provided a somewhat stickier base for the pigment to attach to, and the colour was slightly darker. (BTW, I did also try swatching it on my hand over NYX JEP in Milk, and the colour was still very intense but, of course, lighter…See, it is really versatile!).

Why do I think Enchanted is so Enchanting? I think the colour is so special, and it has such a pretty shimmer… it is sort of neutral but looks so warm and soft, and it would suit just about everyone.

So, people, please, don’t put Enchanted in the corner! 😛
