Hypnotic smoke with a double liner

Hey guys!

So, as I was sitting in front of my makeup stash today, waiting for an inspiration, the itch came back…Hypnotic wanted out of the jar again, so I felt it…the itch to use this lovely Sleek eye dust. A gorgeous ink blue pigment!

The idea was to just do a blue smokey eye, keep it simple…but in the end Vintage (another Sleek eye dust) joined the party and things went out of hand. Only a bit :)… I did a double liner.

Maybe a pair of false lashes would have complemented this look nicely, but lately I feel a bit lazy to go the extra mile and add the falsies. Just imagine them, if you think they should be in the look 😛

For the rest, I used:

  • Essence I love stage e/s base
  • MUG gel liner Electric (as a base for Hypnotic)
  • Sleek eye dust Hypnotic
  • Sleek Ultra Mattes V2 Darks palette
  • MUG e/s Unexpected
  • Sleek eye dust Vintage
  • Makeup Studio shimmer effects Silver
  • Maybelline Master Precise Ink pen eyeliner
  • Max Factor black kohl pencil
  • Max Factor Wild Mega Volume volumising mascara

What do you think about this look? And the double liner? I hope you like it 🙂

A look with Humming Bird from Sleek Snapshots

Hello again!

I try not to forget my promises, so I would like to keep one I made to you guys in my Minty post from a while ago.

I promised to do a makeup look where the e/s Humming Bird from the Sleek Snapshots palette can shine in its full glory. Humming Bird is a beautiful satin finish aqua blue colour, which looks almost duochrome when you apply it. A bit if blue, a bit of green…It definitely deserved a special post!

I paired it with the Sleek eye dust Hypnotic which I swiped along the lower lash line, just to intensify the blue feeling of the look 🙂 (if I may put it that way). This is how it turned out:

Snapshots is like a box full of gems; each time I open it, I find a new treasure! Definitely a purchase I will never regret.

What I used:

  • Essence I love stage e/s base
  • Sleek Snapshots palette
  • Essence colour art pigment Be my Brightsmaid
  • Sleek eye dust Hypnotic
  • Essence eyeliner pen black
  • Max Factor black kohl pencil
  • Max Factor Wild Mega Volume volumising mascara

What do you think about this look? Do you like this colour combination?

2 grams of liquid gold: looks with MUG pigment Liquid Gold

I knew even before I got Liquid Gold that I would love it…

And I wasn’t disappointed 🙂 I want to swim in this pigment, just dive into that jar and never come out. It is so powerful! If you don’t like bright colours, you may be scared of this one. Liquid Gold is very potent, it is just meant to be seen and adored.

For this look I couldn’t help myself..I just wanted to pat and swipe Liquid Gold all over the lid. Initially, I was only planning to wing a liner and be done..but then Bada Bing and Frappe decided to join the party 🙂

Here, I was inspired by a look I saw in the Makeup Geek idea gallery by starryskies…basically it was a yellow-blue makeup look. It made me think, hey why don’t I try to combine Liquid Gold with the Sleek eye dust Hypnotic?

On the photos, it seems like Liquid Gold is overpowering Hypnotic, but in real life…that wasn’t really the case. Their vibrancy was more balanced. Don’t misjudge poor Hypnotic, judge my poor photography skills :P!

What do you think about Liquid Gold, would you also want to drown in it (like me)?

Have a lovely weekend, till soon!
