Hi everyone!
As the title of the post already suggests, today’s story will feature my very first attempt to achieve a cut crease look. I have seen it plenty of times but never tried it before. Today though I was browsing the blog of a very talented girl, Merylin. She is a professional makeup artist and she creates some of the most stunning looks I have ever seen. I would say cut crease is her specialty, be sure to check out her work :).
She gave me the impetus to try out the cut crease technique. I have to admit, it is more difficult than I expected, but that only motivates me to keep exercising. Expect more cut crease looks here ;)!
To create this look, I used only MUG eyeshadows. Here is how it turned out:
Full list of products used:
- Essence I love stage e/s base
- MUG e/s Drama Queen
- MUG e/s Sensuous
- MUG e/s Peacock
- MUG e/s Mermaid
- MUG e/s Appletini
- MUG e/s Beaches and Cream
- MUG e/s Shimma Shimma
- MUG e/s Graphite
- Maybelline Master Precise Ink pen eyeliner
- Max Factor black kohl pencil
- Max Factor Wild Mega Volume volumising mascara
What do you think about my cut crease attempt? And the combination of colours?
I hope you like it, but remember: it is my first time, so be kind :)!

Are you wearing a black line in your upper water line as well? If not, that could add to the intensness of the look.. And i wouldn’t take the lower liner as far into the corner, and out, as you have now, takes the heaviness to the lower side of your eye, but your upper eyelid looks so gorgeous. So its a shame to take away the focus from that.
I know..I did actually line the upper water line too but maybe not enough. With the lower lash line I was going for a more subtle effect but you know how it goes with liner…you make a little mistake and you try to correct and…before you know, it gets out of hand. But I still like it like this too, it’s different 😉
Wow! Very nice! I love it! ❤
Thank you!!! 🙂
