The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover: review

Hey everyone!

Let’s get into a quick review of my favourite makeup remover. I’ve only been using it for a little over a week, but I can already assert you: I am gonna marry this shit!!! You may well think a week isn’t quite long enough to fall in love…again, let’s agree to disagree 😉 One quick look at my hubby during aikido training 4,5 years ago and I totally had the hots for him…let alone a makeup remover and whole 8 days, pff please!!!

The Body Shop came out with the Camomile Make-up Remover line already last year, if my memory serves me right, and I had my eye on it ever since. Somehow though, I didn’t manage to actually try it until last week. The bottle has been standing in my bathroom for months, but other things needed to go first, so for far too long “the precious” was just dusting there…unappreciated.

Of the whole line, I was most interested in the Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-up Remover. It’s a bi-phase makeup remover, meaning you have to shake the bottle well before use to mix the two phases. It comes in a clear plastic bottle:

The liquid feels very lightweight and not oily at all. Once you apply it on the skin it also feels fresh and light…It’s very gentle on the skin. And the best part – it removes makeup (and I mean MAKEUP!) with literally one swipe! True story!!! If you are not new to my blog, you know that my makeup looks are on the heavy side, and almost always feature a winged liner. This baby has no problem with that 😉 I have to add though: I am not a fan of waterproof mascaras, so no idea how it performs in that department…thoughts/experience anyone?

What I also really appreciate is that you can use it on both eyes and lips. Not all makeup removers offer that perk, or at least not without provoking a gagging reflex.

Furthermore, it is fragrance- and alcohol-free, and as far as the ingredient list goes, I am pretty happy:

At first 150 ml for €12 didn’t seem like the best deal, but this remover is actually quite economical. You definitely don’t need to use a whole lot to get all of your makeup off. Not to mention The Body Shop often offers discounts, so just be patient and stock up on it at the right time 😉 That’s what I did!

Overall, I have only but superlatives about the TBS Camomile waterproof makeup remover, and would highly recommend trying it to anyone looking for a great makeup remover.

Have you tried it? Or anything else from the line? Share your experience in the comments 🙂 I’d love to hear from you!

XOXO

  2. I remember liking the watery version of it they made a few years ago. Might try this one when my current Lush one runs out 🙂 Thanks for the review.
